Purple Hydrangea

I found this card on pinterest. It was designed by Patricia Dominicci using the April 2020 Paper Pumpkin stamp set. The Paper Pumpkin is a monthly kit that has everything needed to make 12-20 projects. Most months are easy to put together greeting cards. Occasionally the kit is treat projects. These are more around holidays such as Valentines Day.

All of the items are easily punched out and ready to go. The kit also provides any ribbon or twine used in the monthly projects as well as an ink spot. A good thing is that each kit comes with extra pieces so that you can play with them to make your own cards. That's what Patricia did. Great job!

My very favorite thing about Paper Pumpkin is the cute, exclusive stamp set in every kit. Some months, I think it may be twice a year, we get TWO stamp sets. You cannot purchase the set anywhere else. Most of the projects in the kit require very little stamping so the stamp set that comes with it is basically a bonus.

Here is my card:

This card was super easy and quick. I bet it took me all of 5 minutes to put it together. The base cardstock is Highland Heather. I used the tree top stamp in the set and stamped it twice coming together in the middle so that the stamp made the flower top. All of the sets in paper pumpkin are polymer so this was very easy to stamp. This was fussy cut. The leaf was a punch out leftover from the kit. I added a little bow with Gorgeous Grape Mini Striped ribbon. Unfortunately, this very pretty ribbon is retired. It was so perfect for this card. Then I stamped the greeting in Gorgeous Grape.

And check out the inside.....stamped with 3 little butterflies that come with the Paper Pumpkin set. The sentiment was also a part of the same set.

Paper Pumpkin might be something for you to think about. It is so much fun getting a kit once a month with everything to make your projects all in one little box! Contact me for details.

See you next time!

Friend Like You

Welcome!
My post for you today is using Friend Like You and the coordinating dies, Friendly Silhouette Dies.
I really like this set, particularly the dies that match. It has some very nice grass, palm trees and very, very cute little dragon flies. Here is a card that I stamp lifted from Fiona Whitten on Pinterest. Did she not design a fabulous card? Her card turned out a little nicer, but here is my take.

I think it would make a great male birthday card.

Here are some details:
Card base is Crumb Cake 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
Layer Soft Suede 5 1/4 x 4
White layer 5 x 3 3/4

The white is scored at 1/4 and 1/2 on all edges.

Stamp the grass side by side in Granny Apple Green about an inch from the bottom. Then stamp the tops of the grasses in soft suede. This is a polymer set so it is easily lined up. Love it!
Using the dies, cut the grass out from Granny Apple Green. Set your die on the edge of the cardstock before cutting so you don't have to trim. (Thanks, Fiona for that tip!)

Using your dark soft suede stampin blend, color the cattail tops. Cut your grass down to fit your image. Add the sentiment using Soft Suede.

Finish the front by stamping some dragonflies in Coastal Cabana and cutting them out with the dies. Aren't they adorable? Love the dragonflies! The die cuts out two at a time, one just a little smaller. I adhered them using the mini stamp dimensionals cut in half.

I used the grass that I trimmed off of the front to add a little extra on the inside.

Build A House

This is a fun card I made using the new Lawn Fawn Build A House die. Most of what I do is copy. I am not at a very creative time in my life, so copy works for me. I just wish I could retrieve my original picture of this card so that I could give the designer credit. Perhaps she/he will stop by and let me know who they are.
I made 5 of them to send out to special friends. It was rather tedious. I did everything in steps so that I had five of everything. Then I did my assembly the same way. One tedious step at a time! The die set came with everything, even the little flowers in the planter on the window. Love it!

The original card had brick so I used the Stampin Up decorative masks. For the clouds I used Cloud Stencils with Stampin Up's Balmy Blue ink. Picket Fence and tree is from Lawn Fawn. I used a tiny bee that I fussy cut from an old Amuse Studio set called Snail & Co. I was able to copy most everything and then I got caught on the flowers. That was tricky. I finally decided to stamp a tiny bloom from Thoughtful Blooms which is a retired SU set. Then I took a 1/8" whole punch to punch out of the stamped flowers. Yes, that was like 25 flowers to stamp and punch AND keep track of!

Hope you enjoyed this project. Thanks for stopping by.

Blessings,
